Colored Denise Knitting Needles?!

Ok, my Denise needles (pictured) are SO much cooler than before. Blue, Orange, Wine, Yellow, Dark Green, Purple...so much fun!

My LYS organized an evening of dyeing especially for Denise Interchangable Knitting Needles.

We microwaved the needles several times in liquid --- letting them sit and cool between heatings. They were then laid out to dry. Once completely dry, each color took a 10 minute bath in vinegar.

One of the owners of the shop has been knitting with her dyed Denise's for a while...and the color hasn't worn onto her yarn. To be on the safe side, I'm not going to test-drive my needles on white yarn...not just yet.

Very cool! Do you think the Denise folks know about this?

Very Pretty!! I had no idea you could dye them. Wish I had a LYS that knew things like that.

What did they use to dye them? I tried a RIT in the microwave method and it didn't work.
