Makin' a Dent in the Stash

I'm really trying to get my stash under control --- is it possible?!

Although they can be kind of boring, scarves have been a great way for me to use up some stash yarn.

I made the blue Wavy scarf for my husband out of Reynold's Rapture (50% Silk 50% Wool). It's sooo soft. If he doesn't wear it...I'll be putting it to good use this fall/winter. He's been watching the progress so closely, I don't think he'll be forgetting it at home!

The long skinny scarf is worked in seed stitch using MarL La by Classic Elite Yarns. I bought a couple hanks of this yarn --- I thought it was a muti-colored yarn using my favorite color combination of reds and purple. When I pulled it out for a hat project, I realized it wasn't multi-colored, but rather 4 strands of DK weight yarn (each different colored). So, it was a MUCH heavier weight that I expected.

I didn't purchase enough to make a big project --- so I used one hank for this cool seed stitch scarf. I think it'll look great this fall with my denim jacket!

Lovely scarves. I think the red one will be perfect with a denim jacket!
